Engineered Linings is a specialist South African contracting company concentrating on the supply and installation of geosynthetic liners for the purposes of containment, corrosion and environmental protection. The company was founded in 1984 and provides the best available lining technology and installation service.

We operate extensively throughout Sub-Saharan Africa lining mining applications ( heap leach pads, pregnant solution ponds, slimes and tailings dams ..), acid and water storage facilities, landfill sites, dams, tanks … to name but a few.

The most commonly installed linings are High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) and flexible Polypropylene (fPP) in thicknesses of 1,0mm; 1,5mm; 2,0mm and 2,5mm. All the linings we install are manufactured from high quality resins and conform to the highest international specifications (GRI – GM) from the Geosynthetic Research Institute at Drexel University.

EL also supplies Anchor Knob Sheet (AKS) a cast – in Concrete Protection Lining (CPL) produced from HDPE or PP resins. AKS provides maximum protection to concrete structures protecting them against chemical attack. It can be cast into new structures or grouted into existing structures. AKS is used in aggressive sewers and pipelines, sumps, manholes, tanks, bund areas, channels and chutes as well as applications where acid spillages can occur.
