The "Standard" film thickness / coating thickness gauge includes the sensor head, spectrometer, light source, fixture stand, fiber cable, and Windows® based software. Scanning / ON-line Systems...

Film Thickness Measurement on Web Coaters: Scanning of moving webs is a snap due to the gauge's large measurement range and its ultra quick acquisition time (10ms min.). Because if its speed, it captures true measurements without "smearing" the data. With the addition of our manual or automated scanning frame this gauge can easily measure large samples or a moving web in both the down web and cross web direction. Our data capture and display software presents the film or coating thickness to the operator in both graphical and numeric formats.

This is a multipurpose coating thickness gauge and a film thickness gauge, all in one. To demonstrate its unique measurement capability, we successfully measured one of the most difficult constructions available... ultra thin coatings on copper foil. No other fiber optic gauge has been able to measure coatings on rough surfaces with a high degree of light scattering.
