Company ProfileProducts SuppliedPlastic mold engineering with thermoplastic materials are extremely diverse in mechanical, thermal and physical properties. As a result materials can be fit for purpose. Our technical sales team, are always more than willing to advise on material application, even for the most arduous environments.
Industries Supplied Due to the versatility of our products and materials supplied, our customer base is widespread. A whole range of industries currently benefit from our services, including:
Plastic Mold Engineering Materials Nylon (PA) 6 materials are all semi crystalline polyamide thermoplastics with high impact resistance. The molecular structure of the material can be modified with additives for improved attributes and performance. In general all Nylons have a relatively high moisture absorption rate, this can be reduced with fillers. Nylon 6 E (Natural / Black) extruded Polyamide (PA) 6 polymer, being a good general purpose engineering material, with optimum combination of cost, mechanical strength and durability. High mechanical dampening ability. Acetal (POM C) Copolymer material with exceptional balance of mechanical strength and rigidity, good impact resistance and low moisture absorption, making this material an excellent all round thermoplastic. With its ease of machinability, Acetal is an ideal choice for high precision parts, where dimensional stability is important. Capable of working up to 100 deg C, however its wear resistance is lower than Nylon 6G. PETP (Polyethylene Terephtalate) Outperforms Nylon 6 and Acetal in many applications. Very low moisture absorption, excellent dimensional stability and mechanical strength, with exceptional sliding and wear resistance properties. PETP also has good electrical and chemical resistance, and suitable for food contact. Commonly used for high precision parts. Polycarbonate - Extremely robust glazing / guarding material, unbreakable in most applications. Excellent impact strength and rigidity throughout a temperature range of -150 deg C to +120 deg C. Good electrical insulation and radiation resistance. (If this profile looks odd, please let us know.)
