Scan-Optics Scanners

Scan-Optics Scanners

The high speed Vision Series 3000 scanners are designed to be a cost effective solution for large backfile conversions of aperture cards to digital images. The entire VS 3000 family features a complete stand-alone solution that insures easy installation, operation, image control and world-wide service and support. No software integration is required for operation, and the system is "open-architecture designed" for connectivity to popular third-party database packages on the network.

The VS 3000 is a batch fed design and scans A-E (A4-A0) aperture cards size engineering drawings. Up to 500 cards are automatically fed into the system via the VS 3000 stack feeder, scanned at speeds up to 500 per hour, indexed, compressed and stored in a variety of formats, including TIFF, CALS, RLC, EDMICS and Intergraph. Raster format conversion, text addition, deskew and despekle and other enhancements can be completed with the powerful raster editing feature.

The VS 3000 series comes in two different configurations. The VS 3200 and VS 3400 are full-sized floor models featuring external Pentium-based computers.

All VS 3000 aperture scanners come with powerful raster editing software which automatically manages, schedules and tracks - in the background - enhancement and indexing. This requires little, if any, operator intervention. Images can be displayed, organized, quality checked and editing functions such as crop and redline are built into the software.
