Cast Basalt are made from re-melted and re-crystalised basalt rock. Although it has been largely eclipsed by alumina ceramics, cast basalt is still used cost effectively in some straight pipes.

The impact resistance of rubber and manganese liners are well known, however some situations demand also the ability to simultaneously limit abrasive wear from hard particles. We have been successful in increasing liner life from 4 - 25x.

Epoxy Adhesive wear components usually have an abrasion resisting filler such as alumina, silicon carbide or andalusite grain. Such wear components are useful for moderate abrasion/corrosion situations.

Tool Steels, Chrome Carbide and Tungsten Carbide deposits are available. The Lincarb 1600 Tungsten Carbide deposit is extremely successful in low velocity, high abrasion situations such as mixer paddles and feed screws.
