Low Voltage Power Distribution
Extending Merlin Gerin’s offer of distribution devices beyond the domestic sector are the revolutionary ranges of moulded case and air circuit breakers and accessories.
I. Moulded Case Circuit Breakers:
The launch of the Compact NS in 1994 revolutionized the moulded case circuit breaker market through its innovative, flexible and attractive design.
Today, the offer has been extended to cover current ratings from 80 to 3200 amps, fault levels from 25 up to 150kA and supply networks from 220 to 690V.
In addition to an extensive range of accessories \ auxiliaries and communication options providing the possibility of power consumption control, Compact NS ratings from 630 to 3200 amps are also equipped with the new Micrologic control units, which integrate various electrical measurement and analysis functions.
Providing total discrimination as standard for all fault types, Compact NS provides complete protection for low voltage distribution systems, motor feeders, machines and equipment.
II. Masterpact Air Circuit Breakers:
After a proven track record of almost 2 decades, Merlin Gerin’s Masterpact has been further simplified to now offer ratings up to 6300 amps, in 3 frame sizes within 2 product families.
- Masterpact NT
The Masterpact NT, the worlds most compact, true power circuit breaker with ratings
from 630 up to 1600 amps is available in one simplified frame size.
- Masterpact NW
The second family, the Masterpact NW, consists of 2 frame sizes. The first for ratings
from 800 to 4000 amps, the second from 4000 to 6300 amps.
Both the Masterpact NT and NW are perfectly suited to applications in all sectors such as: Switch disconnectors, earthing switches, mechanical interlocking, electrical interlocking, applications including DC, voltages up to 1000V and frequencies of up to 400Hz.
Accessories:
Similar to the Compact NS, the masterpact offers a host of accessories including communication options and the previously mentioned Micrologic control units, which serve as comprehensive protection devices and measurement instruments.
