Chairlifts
Chairlift systems are the safe solution when it comes to transporting persons fast over long distances including horizontal and vertical curves.
Up to 900 people can be transported every hour in each direction at a max. speed of up to 5 m/sec.
Depending on the individual operating conditions the following systems are available:
Apod I with detachable chairs for gradients up to 45° and vertical curves
Apod II with detachable chairs for gradients up to 18° and horizontal and vertical curves.
Apod III with fixed chairs for gradients up to 45° and vertical curves
CHAIRLIFTS
The Chairlift is the most efficient method to transport a high volume of people down a decline
shaft into the production areas of a Mine.
Chairlifts have effectively been in operation in SA Hard Rock Mining since 1977.
Within the group of SMT Scharf AG there are two brands of chairlifts available to the various
mining sectors namely the SARECO and SCHARF brands.
The two Chairlifts differ in the Drive and Return designs and are both offered to the industry.
