Stope Mining Dozer
The SMT Scharf Dozer D5 has been developed for a safe and cost effective production of minerals in underground mines. The low design allows the use in extremely low production stopes. It allows the quick and safe cleaning of the stope area after blasting. The Dozer D5 is operated from a safe distance via a remote control by one operator. It allows the personnel to stay out of the area’s which expose them to the highest risk’s (dangers) in underground mines.
The Dozer D5 is equipped with an electro-hydraulic power system propelling a crawler drive system. The electrical power supply is achieved by a trailing cable which is automatically winded by a motorised cable rees mounted at the end of the vehicle. Using electrical power provides a zero-emission equipment saving personnel from exposure to noise and gases caused by diesel engines.
