Weslake Air Services was created in 1981 to develop the specialist aviation aspects of Weslake & Co who were international consultants in the design and development of all types of internal combustion engines. Clients of this company included Rolls Royce, Lycoming and Teledyne Continental in the aviation scene. Subsequently, its associate company, Emdair had carried out extensive programmes for Israeli Aircraft Industries (Israel) and AAI (U.S.A.) for unmanned air vehicles.
