Certification from TüV Rheinland
Company News Monday, February 15, 2010: CERadvance Engineering Ceramics (PTY) LTD.
In November 2004, CERadvance, previously trading as GrouplineTechnical Ceramics (PTY) LTD, obtained its certification from TüV Rheinland for successfully implementing an ISO 9001:2000 total quality management system. A good team effort by the whole company all the way from top management right down to the shopfloor level made this implementation process, which took approximately 6 months, a great success. According to CERadvance Quality Manager, Johan van Eeden, excellent staff cooperation and the expert input given by Mr. Dave Sacks, CEO of QI Management Systems International, was the key to successful implementation.
Implementing a quality assurance system was a critical step forward, as the company realised a greater need for documented control over its day to day activities. Supplying into critical markets such as medical implant and food processing industries, requires well documented procedures and processes. According to CERadvance MD, Martin Beyers, great care was taken to ensure that the system would be adding value to the company, and in doing so avoiding the generation of unnecessary paperwork with the resulting extra administrative burdening of key personnel. Although the system is very customer focused, strong emphasis is placed on material and product conformity.
