16th April 2015 - Following the deadly earthquake which devastated Nepal on 25th April, Marelli Motori is launching an urgent appeal for funds amongst all of its employees to support their Nepalese colleagues working in the company's Malaysian factory.

 

‎More than 30 nationalities are employed by the company worldwide and there are approximately 100 Nepalese nationals working at the Marelli Motori Shah Alam site.

 

Marelli Motori is responding to this tragedy by appealing to all its staff worldwide for donations to help their Nepalese colleagues and pledging to double any amount raised.

 

"Any amount we will manage to collect through voluntary donations received from our employees will be matched by the company and donated to our Nepalese workers in urgent need of help to support their families back home" said Marelli Motori CEO Mauro Sacchetto. "This is a terrible tragedy and our hearts go out to the many people suffering in Nepal".
