CFD modelling is not a new process it has been used over the past decade in the aviation and automotive industry. It allows the designer the ability to predict inefficiencies with regards to air flow long before the conceptual design is built, thus reducing costs and manpower.
MC Process has integrated this proven technology into our equipment allowing us an accurate prediction beforehand. CFD modelling allows MC Process the unique ability to determine actual velocity profiles of particles or entrained liquid within their settler units.

This CFD predication ability has the following benefits:

• This velocity (speed) will indicate the particle/droplets ability to settle and in what distance
• Our design are optimized to the current plant capacities, thereby reducing capital costs
• Should our clients wish to upgrade their process parameters we can determine the exact point where this upgrade will interfere with the settler’'92s ability to operate effectively.
• We can mould and change the design of inlets and outlets to accommodate the unique nature of the fluid we are dealing with.
