I/O system for Sercos III utilises fast EtherCAT communication backplane

In addition to numerous traditional fieldbuses, the Beckhoff I/O system supports all major Industrial Ethernet fieldbus technologies. With the new EK9750 Bus Coupler, Beckhoff provides an I/O solution for Sercos III networks. The powerful and ultra fast EtherCAT I/O system will be available for Sercos III, making a large selection of terminals available for users.

Using EtherCAT technology, the EK9750 Sercos III Coupler has a fast subordinate bus system that can update 1,000 digital I/Os in 30 µs. The EtherCAT Terminal system distinguishes itself by its high performance, flexible topology and simple configuration. Distributed I/Os can be inexpensively integrated into an industrial network via the EtherCAT network. The coupler supports the new Sercos III I/O profile and communicates seamlessly in Sercos III networks.
