Water Services, Inc. awarded Water Well/Borehole Kit contract by the US Air Force

Water Services, Inc. (WSI) of Provo, UT, USA was awarded a Water Well Kit contract by the US Air Force “Red Horse” (Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineers). The contract is designed to provide materials to support the construction of numerous water wells in Afghanistan. WSI is supported by Johnson Screens, Flint & Walling Pumps, Zoeller Pumps, Anixter and Baroid Industrial Drilling Products, all US companies.
The kits consist of a complete package of materials needed to construct water wells in combat situations. The “Red Horse” group provides construction capabilities at the front lines all over Afghanistan. As a result of this effort, water reaches the troops faster and cheaper. The quality is ensured by using American products where components are critical. Brett J. Edwards of Flint and Walling said, “Quality is the most important factor in making Flint and Walling pumps, we want only the best for our troops”. Johnson Screen’s Thom Hanna commented, “We make Johnson Screens to precise specifications to ensure our customers attain maximum performance from their water wells”. Ed Anderson, of Baroid Industrial Drilling Products offered, “IDP’s objective is to provide engineered drilling fluid solutions that maximize wellbore value.”
The materials will be delivered this year and next to meet current and future water well needs.
