The purpose of this EngNet survey is to obtain feedback from EngNet companies and users with regards to what new services and functionality you would like to see appear within EngNet.

2. Auctions

Auctions have the facility where a seller will put goods on auction and users then place bids on the item within a defined time period. When the final date is reached the highest bidder of the product becomes the buyers at that price.

Would you participate in Online Auctions for the following:
 
Buying Second Hand Equipment  (e.g. Drilling Machines, Concrete Mixers)
Buying Surplus / Redundant Stock (e.g. Motors, Valves, Hose)
Buying high value equipment (e.g.  Cranes or Bull Dozer)
Selling  Second Hand Equipment
Selling Surplus / Redundant Stock
Selling high value equipment (e.g. Cranes or Bull Dozer)
Bidding on Guaranteed Goods (Auctioneer Guarantees the description of the goods)
Bidding on Non-Guaranteed Goods (Highest Bidder & Seller conclude the deal)
I would not participate in Online Auctions for engineering related equipment at all .
Would Only be of use for goods in your country

3. Trading/Classifieds Facility

A trading platform will allow seller to offer goods for sale at a price with the facility for people to contact the seller if they are interested in the goods. Generally goods are sold on a first come first served basis.

Would you participate in trading goods online for the following:

4. Business Alliance Service

A number of companies have showed interest in a service where companies can create business alliances. This service will be designed to allow for instance Manufacturers to find Agents or Distributors to sell their products into export makets. Or for Manufacturers to find technology providers to provide technology for new products to be Manufactured.

5. Tender Service

Tenders form a vital part of the Engnieering Industry. This is where companies that has a need for Services or Equipment submits certain tenders where companies can then respond with proposal. Tenders are generally sent to a number of companies.

Submit to a large variety of Engineering Products / Services
Submit to a very specific group of Engineering Products / Services
Submit to only specific companies and specific Products/Services

EngNet is looking at providing the facility for companies to have a storefront that integrates with EngNet so that users could search for Products through EngNet, find companies that provide these goods and then order the goods securely or purchase via credit card .

Would you participate in the E-Commerce Functionality for the Following:
 
As a company you can add products online for sale easily.
As a company you can control who sees your products and pricing
As a company Discount Structures can be applied to different users
As a company The E-Commerce Store front can be linked to your companies website Seamlessly
As a company you would like to order consumables Online
As a company, procedures are available to allow purchasing/ordering online

As a User you would prefer to purchare online through EngNet rather than individual companies websites
