Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF)

Dissolved air flotation (DAF) is a process used in water treatment, including the treatment of wastewaters, to capture solids or other materials in the water. Air is dissolved in the water while under pressure, then released on the surface of the water at atmospheric pressure. The bubbles created during this process help to capture suspended particles in the wastewater and float them to the surface for filtering or removal.
