Pulse Oximeter

A pulse oximeter is non-invasive medical device used to determine the oxygen level in a person's blood. Pulse oximeters are slipped onto the patients fingertip and a pair of light emitting diodes transmit light to a photosensor on the other side of the oximeter. The two diodes operate at red and infrared wavelengths and the difference in absorption rates yields the blood oxygen level, with 95 to 100% being a normal reading.
