Reverse Osmosis Membrane

A reverse osmosis water system is a device used to filter water in both residential and commercial/industrial applications. In a reverse osmosis system, the water is passed through a membrane to separate the dissolved particles (solute) in the water from the pure water (solvent). Reverse osmosis systems are used by the military to make potable water throughout the world and as part of the process in turning salt water into drinking water. Reverse osmosis membranes are designed to fit specific systems and deliver different levels of filtration performance.
