Substation Transformers

A Substation Transformer is used to transform an incoming voltage into a desired output voltage. Often, a step down transformer is used to transform high voltage used in long distance power transmission into a lower voltage for residential and light industrial use. A Step up transformer, on the other hand, increases the voltage for heavy industrial usage.
