The Voith Turbo Coupling is a hydrodynamic coupling based on Foettinger’s Principle. Its main components are two bladed wheels – a pump wheel and a turbine wheel – as well as an outer shell. Both wheels are positioned relative to each other. Power transmission is achieved with minimal mechanical wear and there is no mechanical contact between the power-transmitting components.
Plant availability and efficiency are priorities for any operator. Voith Turbo BHS products and services reflect the importance of keeping your plant running smoothly. As professionals in power transmission, we provide support that is fast, flexible, skilled and reliable. We see customer service as a long-term commitment based on a partnership and help to ensure the availability and reliability of your plant.
Voith Turbo is the largest manufacturer of geared variable-speed couplings worldwide. Over 4 000 drives have been supplied so far and are operating successfully. Powers up to 60 000 kW and speeds up to 20 000 rpm are possible. The Highly Flexible Coupling product group from Voith Turbo GmbH & Co. KG is continuing the use of the well-established Kuesel coupling technology. We have over 35 years of experience of working with customers to perfect drive systems that are subjected to torsional vibrations.
We are the experts in torque-limiting and connection couplings at Voith Turbo. Voith Turbo, the specialist for hydrodynamic drive, coupling and braking systems for road, rail and industrial applications, as well as for ship propulsion systems, is a Group Division of Voith AG.
DIWA.6 - Less consumption, lower emissions
Voith has been supplying propulsion systems to customers since 1928. And no matter how long these propulsion units have already been in operation: suitable OEM spare parts are being stocked by Voith in large warehouses, ready to be delivered to the customer with minimum delay. Should a spare part be unavailable contrary to expectations, it is immediately produced by a highly skilled team.
The VIAB fluid coupling is a completely new start-up and braking system with a fill-regulated, hydrodynamic fluid coupling as the main component. It unites the hydrodynamic start-up and hydrodynamic braking functions into one system.
