At BEI Kimco, we manufacture a comprehensive line of high performance fractional horsepower brushless DC Motors (BLDC) that are currently manufactured in sizes from 1.1" up to 20” in O.D. diameter and capable of operating at speeds in excess of 70K RPM. We also manufacture voice coil Actuators (VCA) available in both Linear and Rotary versions. Linear versions offer strokes up to 4” and forces up to 225 Lbs. Rotary versions are available with up to 30 degrees of total excursion angle and a maximum torque of 1000 oz-in. Both offer infinite positioning capabilities for your application.

BEI Kimco is an established manufacturer of motion control products used for military, aviation and space systems. BEI Kimco was chosen as the sole source supplier for the torque motors that will be used on the battlefield imaging platform. This system will be supplied for use on the mobile gun system that is currently being built into a military vehicle platform, a 19-ton wheeled armored vehicle.
BEI Kimco is a pioneer in the development of direct-drive, or "Frameless," torque motors (torquers). These compact, high performance motor part-sets use high slot-to-pole ratios and couple the motor's rotor directly to the load, without the need for gearing. This approach eliminates errors due to mechanical friction/backlash and is ideally suited for applications where rapid starts/stops, high acceleration and low speed precision motion are required.
