Whenever electrical motors are operated,(for fans, pumps, conveyors, refrigeration etc) inductive reactive power is consumed, to create the magnetic field. The electrical supply companies charge for this power in various ways. It may appear on your bill as 'reactive power charges' or 'maximum demand' measured in KVA.
If your bill shows a 'power factor' les than 0.95 you need help.
