BASA Backs New Adhesive Show

BASA Backs New Adhesive Show

Company News Thursday, May 20, 2010: Fastening and Assembly Solutions

The recently announced IASE – Industrial Adhesives, Sealants & Encapsulants Exhibition – has received industry backing from BASA – the British Adhesives and Sealants Association, who will run a technical seminar during the show at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham on October 21st.

IASE is a brand new event that brings together the UK’s leading suppliers of adhesives, sealants and encapsulants which are used across manufacturing industry from processing and packaging to electronics and product assembly. Held alongside the acclaimed FAST Exhibition, IASE exhibitors can open the doors to new uses for adhesives in manufacturing applications, offering the potential for substantial cost-savings in a wide variety of assembly processes. Embracing adhesives can sometimes lead to better designs too, and IASE visitors can discuss all the latest innovations and practices with an extensive portfolio of some of the best suppliers in the business. Just about every type of adhesive is represented at the show from cyanoacrylates through UV cured to hot-melts, epoxies, acrylics, anaerobics and structural adhesives, offering a vast choice of options for bonding similar and dissimilar materials. There are also equally wide choices available for engineers seeking advice and innovations for sealing and encapsulating applications too.

BASA is one of the UK’s most respected trade associations with around 85% of the industry in membership and an evolution covering more than 60 years. The association serves as a focus for manufacturers, suppliers and users alike – publishing many useful technical guides and running a variety of events such as the new seminar at IASE.

Qualifying pre-registered visitors (i.e. currently employed manufacturing professionals) also benefit from a Complimentary Luncheon Voucher and Museum Pass worth £11.95. The National Motorcycle Museum is located immediately adjacent to the NEC and houses the world’s largest and most comprehensive display of classic and vintage motorcycles. There is abundant free parking immediately outside the exhibition and show entry is also free.
