SI Sensors reports on growing demand for custom Time Delay Integration (TDI) image sensors for high-speed scanning in machine vision / industrial inspection and for high-resolution satellite reconnaissance.
The Time Delay Integration (TDI) method significantly improves image sensitivity, making it particularly effective in low-light conditions and for fast-moving objects. Through synchronizing charge transfer on the image sensor with motion, TDI increases sensitivity, reduces blur and delivers sharp, high-resolution images even in challenging environments.
