All PINSTAMP® Systems are based on our original patented "floating pin" technology, developed by Telesis in 1982. A pneumatically-driven, conical-tipped pin indents the marking surface without inducing stress concentrations. Since the marking pin "floats", surface irregularities up to 1/4 inch (6mm) can be accommodated. The marking force and corresponding depth of mark can be controlled over a significant range with simple air pressure adjustments. PINSTAMP® Marking Systems are fully programmable and provide high quality permanent dot-matrix or continuous line marking on a wide range of materials, from hardened steel to soft plastic.
