We manufacture our brand "FILTATECH" Activated Carbon in South Africa:
Activated Carbon Innovations was established with the objective of producing high quality Activated Carbon from Macadamia nut shells in an environmentally friendly way.
During 2009 we built a furnace in Limpopo province, South Africa, close to a plentiful supply of the raw material.
As a result of extensive R&D and pilot plant testing in our Limpopo facility, we are now consistently producing a high quality product with Iodine value ~ 950 mg/g.
On site testing is performed to ASTM-D4607 specification to ensure the quality of the activated carbon produced.
