Activities include heat & material balance development, steady state and dynamic simulation, process flow diagrams, p&id's, lines and equipment sizing, control system design, hazop and sil assessment studies handling. Gear Engineering has also developed a software, PSV Plus, devoted to Emergency scenario identification and quantification, Pressure Safety Valves Sizing, PSV inlet / outlet lines calculation. Other software capabilities include the automatic preparation of PSV's specification sheet, summary calculation sheet and relief load summary. PSV Plus is made of two modules seamlessly integrated, a calculation engine and a database used to store all the scenario and design / calculation information.
