GeoDetect specialises in the Detection and Mapping of all underground services and infrastructure. We make use of a range of technologies including Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), Cable Avoidance Tools (CAT), Radiosonde tracking and a variety of other electromagnetic sensor equipment.
The detection and identification of underground services has become a critical function prior to any invasive or civil engineering groundwork. As our infrastructure networks grow, so does the density of cables, pipes and other services. A reality is that a large proportion of underground service are not appropriately surveyed and recorded. In many instances, this information was recorded, but has not been retained or is not available. Through the use of a combination of technologies and approaches, GeoDetect can assist our clients in managing their risks relating to the operation, maintenance and avoidance of underground services.
