Extruded ABS

ABS plastic is a copolymer made from combining acrylonitryl, butadiene, and styrene. The composition of the ABS resin is dictated by the application of the material with styrene usually making up about 50% of the compound and providing a hard, shiny surface. The acrylonitrile provides strength and the butadiene adds resiliency. Extruded ABS is the result of using an extrusion manufacturing process to pull the ABS plastic through a die, resulting in long pieces of material with a constant cross-sectional shape.
