Fletcher Flat Laminating Systems

The FM-82 series are hot roll laminators that bonds pre-glued papers, transfer foils, and other heat sensitive materials. Substrates may be particleboard, MDF, other sheet stock, or other webs of material. Rollers or a rubber conveyor belt carries the substrate into the machine and under the nip of each roller where heat and pressure securely bond the laminate. The FM-82 is available with silicone, steel, or a combination of silicone and steel rollers. The machine is available as a top only laminator, or as a top and bottom unit.

The FM-82 series features 8" diameter felt clean-off brush(es) with vertical adjustment and dust hood(s). Board pre-heat is also available. A variable speed drive powers the machine at up to 60 feet per minute. The Silicone covered nip rolls are externally band heated and gear motor driven. A bow roller located prior to the nip helps prevent wrinkling of the foil and other overlays. A thermocouple heat sensor with digital control automatically maintains accurate roll temperature. The sensor reads directly from the roller.

The FM-82 Series Flatline Laminator has a handwheel operated adjustable stop for substrate thickness with digital readout. The air operated tension brake on the unwind and air operated drive motor on rewind assures correct feeding of the overlay material. The unwind's standard roll capacity is 16" diameter. An Operator Control Panel is located on the infeed end of the FM-82. Safety guards cover the feed belt, heated rolls, and all drive gears. Air lift is offered for the external heaters, to avoid roll damage in case of jam ups. Emergency stop is a standard feature. The FM-82 has numerous successful installations all over the world.
